If you have not fed the lawn in the past 3 months, it is advisable to fertilise it prior to spraying. Fertilisers strengthen lawns, opens the pores on the leaf of the weeds to allow for better absorption from contact sprays. You should wait 10—15 days after fertilising then spray the appropriate weedicide at the recommended dosages.
